Once I was working for a large Insurance Company in Century City and we had a potluck. One of the office supervisors was a nice lady, but very weird in a trailer park kinda way. She would always brag about how she makes the best gumbo in the world and that her husband who was a black guy from Lousiana would even say that her gumbo was best ever. Day of the potluck, she was behind the table getting everything ready and she was just scratching her head and scalp. I mean she was really just scratching it like a dog would scratch and dandruff was on her shoulders. She didnt bother to wash her hands as she just grabbed the serving spoon with the dandruffy hands and began setting up plates. Yuck.
I really wanted to taste her gumbo but one of the girls in the office said that this woman NEVER washes her hands after going to the bathroom.
Whoa, my younger brother would be jealous. I wonder if he's going?
Are you guys bringing ear protection?
We went and saw Kansas in a small venue (600 capacity I think it is) and we were deaf for days. Scary. Never again without it.
Just a heads up.
You know, in my 20s, I would have scoffed and rolled my eyes. But I actually wonder about that a lot now. I mean, they use ear protection! It's an open-air stadium and we'll be waaaaaay in the back, so hopefully we'll be okay. If we lose our hearing, we'll still have CD! Honestly, thanks for the suggestion.
Edit: Now you've really got me wondering about it. I'm nagging Chow to go get some ear plugs, just in case! He has some for work, but only one pair!
