I am waiting to be called in to work...if I fall asleep the call will come in...if I don't I will wait all night with no call...so I take cat naps Like waiting for water to boil

I'm on call once about every 8 weeks, I'm thinking about leaving the company because of it. I got bamboozled during the hiring process, no one made it clear. All of the sudden my named showed up on a list.
Still friggin pissed about it.
When I work it is usually at night but tonight is not on my usual schedule...a co worker has the flu and they called about 2 hours ago to ask if I could fill in...undoubtedly I will go to bed and the phone will ring so I am going to try get a few cat naps in... I really don't mind it too much...

No, I don't have to stay up but Murphy's Law always kicks in if I try to sleep when I am on call or filling in at night...my head hits the pillow and BAM the phone rings...so I would rather just stay up rather than tease myself with the thought of sleep!
I'm up baking...Health Bar Blondies. I made a batch for our trip to Va Tech last weekend and they were soooooo good! So I'm making more to take in to work tomorrow. I have to take them in cuz I will eat them if they stay here! Unless my son hides them from me....which he is really good at. I trained him well

That sounds good! What the heck is going on at/with VA Tech??? They have had the worst luck since Cho and his rampage a few years ago...missing students, murders, etc...scary!

How late you people stay up? It's 1:30 EST. I get up at 5:30 in the morning I'd never make it staying up to 1:30 my time.
I'm a night owl too, but I can't hang, I gotta be on job sites at 6:30 am including commute times. Meaning I gotta get up early.
Well, no one said I am worth a damn in the morning I might be a night owl but that does not make me a good one! At least you can function in the morning...takes me a while!

I get up at 7am. It's a bad bad habit that I need to conquer. My new guy is an early bird...I need to synch up!!
