I am not sure that girls (or boys) are that much more sexual than they were in the past. Maybe, maybe not.

But if they are, I am going to blame it on media and internet. Back when I was a teenager, information on sex was difficult to come across. Now, any kid can hit internet porn sites, sex advice columns, dating sites, sites like this, etc. They see discussions about how many partners people have had, video of sex acts and positions, discussions of sexual technique, and the list goes on.

The perception from a teenage point of view is that everybody has sex all the time, in a variety of ways, with a variety of people. Sure, when I was a kid I suspected that, but I did not KNOW that. All I had to work with were rumors.

I remember hearing about oral sex, threesomes and the like, and initially being shocked, then wondering if this stuff was just a story, or if people actually did these things. No need to wonder now, within minutes any kid can confirm these acts. Is it any wonder that they then mimic them?

It is simply a different, more sexually explicit environment than back in the day. Teenage interest in sex is no different, they are still bundles of raging hormones. But now curiosity can be instantly sated, and this brings up the potential challenge of doing it yourself.

This is the same reasoning why teenage girls are so easy these days!

Who cares what so called society thinks? I don't think its ok for either. But if you want to point the finger at "society" then that is a cop out. Women in general use this excuse to act promiscuous. If you want to sleep around fine, but don't blame it on society or men. "BUT YOU DO IT TOOOOOOO!!"

I don't know what happened but I know what you're talking about. I've had girls come in the shop offering to "work something out" if we would fix their cars. A group of us where hanging out at my house last fall working on cars in the driveway when a group of girls stopped and asked what we where doing and one offered " a ride for a ride". I thanked her for the offer and asked her to come back when she was old enough to buy beer in about 5 yrs.

We have a 6 yr old boy and I'm scared that he's going to get mixed up with one of these girls and start messing around too young. At this point i'm gonna have to have "the talk" with him by the time he's 10.

Not to mention the fact that girls are dressing more and more 'slutty' and in risque styles at younger ages. I swear I see a lot of pre-teens who wear ultra-revealing outfits and, in turn, end up looking like they're in their 20s.

Exactly. They just don't feel the need to hide it anymore.

What data do you have that shows there's a difference?

I ask my daughter who she is going out with or likes, she said "NO ONE!!!!"

Her daddy snuggles her, listens to her and TALKS to her about life.....(and boys!)

REAL FATHERS RULE!!!!!!
As Chris Rock once said, "Dad's, keep your daughters off the pole!" He meant pole as in... stripper pole. Some people underestimate the influence dad's have on daughter's lives, which is too bad because girls suffer for it.

You did the right thing. Those girls will get you in trouble real fast. More than likely they have a pimp that they respond to and that is always problematic. Even if they didn't have a pimp, it's probable that when the word got out that you were dumb enough to accept, like some losers do, then you will be sent to jail and have to put a little sign in front of the house letting everyone know you are a sex offender.

A father I know found a maids costume, handcuffs and other "toys" in the back of his daughters car the other day. Of course the daughter said it didn't belong to her. Just a teenager! Any insight as to what has happened since the days we were teens in the 70's and 80's???
Might want to talk with the parents.
You're blind if you think teens weren't easy in the 70s & 80s.

Do you expect teenage girls to be any other way? Hormones pay no heed to the religious affiliation of their host.
