Actually, any woman with any self esteem would say it's better to be NEITHER of these things and remain manless

LM, sadly some women have self-esteem problems.

LOL! OK let's assume we're not talking about bitter women who have given up on love.

What does that mean???

I'm far from bitter, far from having "given on up on love" - I just happen to have a spine and my self esteem in place.

Obviously we're not on the same page. What does self-esteem have to do with this thread?

Hi cuinlalaland,

The same thing happens when a geek has a hot girl. It all has to do with the basic status of the person and the option pressure the individuals are exposed. The basic female trap is they peak in their early 20s in attractiveness and if they seek parity with a high status man not yet in his prime what can inevitably happen is at 40, the option pressure for the man can breech his loyalty. So by marrying an older man, even as she begins to have fewer options, its the same with him and loyalty is not tested. That is one thing that is avoided, but it is more or less that women should think twice about choosing the best man they can get when they have 10 offers a day if seeking an LTR.

She can often achieve the same thing with a younger man who sees her as high status(beautiful and charming). Many women do just that. Some do look for the "family man". I suppose men do the same thing when they marry "cute" instead of "hot".

So really if control is your thing in a relationship, be the hot one.

But you ARE talking about women with no self-esteem Because those are the only kind of women who would go for either of your scenarios. But I get you are trying to have fun with that expression, so I'll quit posting

Seeing as how the woman is the young one in both scenarios....SHE is the one who can pick and choose. I'm a gift from GOD, not for some old man and am slave to no one but my own desires.
