I am dating a lawyer right now and she makes a little more than double than me. Am I intimidated? Nope. I was living just fine before I met her. However, one of my employees is dating a pharmacist and she makes 4 times as much as him and he says it makes him feel really inadequate. To which I ask why? I mean if you like a person, what does it matter?
Depends.
Would not bother me that the woman I am dating makes considerably more.
There are certain issues that could arise though.
1. She gets upset and throws it in my face.
2. She expects me to reach her level. I just prefer to have an occupation where I can work and do as little communication as possible. Unless I end up doing something related to working from home and working online and get wealthy , my average income has to do.
3. Her lifestyle is at a certain level which is outside my means. She may be able to travel at the drop of a hat to certain locales. Or to afford certain activities on a regular basis. Which may be out of my range.
And even thought I do like women who are willing and able to treat their man on dates regularly, to not even be able to pay my own way would be rather daunting.
What is scornful about not forcing them to be in the workplace? Not requiring them to earn money to be of value? Respecting the value they have outside of financial gain?
They weren't forced there. They were allowed there and freely went to escape the servitude and financial dependence on men.
And those people wouldn't be interested in dating me in the first place--see how it works? I would attract those who see things the same way as I do.
You refer to women. Women should do this or that. Not the women that would date, Tkramar. If that's what you mean, try being a bit clear about it. And no doubt you attract a type of woman that would be interested in what you have to offer. There's somebody for everybody.
Yep, TKramar, Braunwyn's right. You seem to be on the wrong side of the line that separates courtly, chivalrous men from narrow-minded sexists.
