If these goat-heads were to visit our town to preach their hatred at, say, a funeral for a recently fallen military vet, I cannot believe that someone here, in our very conservative and private midwestern rural town, would not take matters into his own hands.

Are they completely protected from any responses from rightfully insulted family members from any I wonder? Most all of the adult family are lawyers and are, apparently just trolling for a means by which they can sue someone. There must be some state laws if there are no related Federal limitations.
How do local law enforcement types expect there to NOT be a violent exchange if these trolls insult a grieving family member?
The utter nerve of these morons. Why do we tolerate it? This is far worse than yelling "fire" in a movie theater for sure; it's intentionally hugely rude, hurtful and intrusive. These types should all be incarcerated into a mental health facility. Perhaps a little shock therapy? 10kV between the ears? That ought to re-assert their priorities, no?

They get away with what they do because they just barely keep their actions legal. Sad that they're disrespecting the very people that died defending their right to be a-holes.
I don't think that the friends and family of the fallen are wimps though. WBC's members just are not worth the effort. Why sink to the same level? Besides,by doing so,they get what they want,attention. Not to mention grounds for a lawsuit giving them more money.

The Westboro Baptist Church (WBC) plans to hold a protest at the funeral of Army soldier and McKinney North graduate Cody Board, who was killed Oct. 4 by an improvised explosive device while on active duty in Afghanistan.
The Patriot Guard Riders, a motorcycle group formed to shield the funerals of fallen armed service members from WBC protests, will also be present at the request of the Board family. The PGR will escort Board from the funeral to his burial at Fort Sill, Oklahoma.
The independent church and anti-homosexual hate group based in Topeka, Kansas, has posted a news release on its website stating it will be present at Board's funeral on Saturday at Our Savior Lutheran Church in McKinney to preach the message that “God hates America and is killing our troops in his wrath.”

Don't think that I wouldn't love to stomp the dog crap out of a couple of them. I would! BUT, if I gave into that urge it would not only reduce me to their sub-human level , I would probably wind up in court and owing them money for damages. Although I fail to see how they could possibly be more damaged than they already are.
Bottom line is I don't think they're worth it. My time is worth far more to me than the temporary satisfaction I would get from making them suffer,no matter how good it would feel while I was doing it.

The troops who died, died for me...you, and many others, the least I can do is fight back for them...
Believe me, I pick my battles carefully...but stomping on the dignity of dead troops...that's redline to me...a battle I will gladly pick...

I'd love to see them come to my town, I'd stand across the street and paintball them with the velocity turned all the way up
