secondly. I don't side with a statement of belief. "god" or "no god'. I am just labeled atheist by others. I side with people that share the same ideas of love, compassion, and understanding before anything else. That can be translated to life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness for all men. These type of people don't care about a belief, they care about each other. they are atheist, theists, GLTB, lawyers, and truck drives. and they are liberal liberals and liberal conservatives.
There will be no sin in heaven. Born again believers will receive a new glorified body that is free from the curse of sin, and therefore free from the temptation to rape or pillage. No one will want to rape or pillage when they receive their new nature. It's in the human sin cursed flesh that desires destructive things.
It's a ridiculous question. A more realistic question would be why would anyone want to commit sin in heaven especially knowing the consequences? Not gonna happen.
We may disagree, old chum, and I may sound harsh at times, but I do try to get where you are coming from and to be fair. Because I owe it to myself as well as to you.

The point about Marketing methods is a fair one. Let me prpose the analogy of someone selling -say -an investment plan that will pay out a decent bit extra when it matures, and selling a plan that gets you nothing except a hole in your bank account from paying in regular.
To point to the marketing method is not the point. It is the product that is being marketed that is the point. Both sides make claims and invite the browsers, pubic and everybody in reach to choose their product. To enable them to make the right choice we explain what it is and how it works and delivers. Then people make their (hopefully well -informed) choice.

You said something about personality type being a big influencer on belief a long time ago. That helped me tremendously at the time.
But even the most "normal" religious believers will still try to make others conform to their beliefs. They don't have to be crazy, actually, to do this.
yes, very true. i have very nice relatives trying to "save me" to this day. And I am always trying to save them with, as they like to tell me,that damn science stuff. So we all do this to some extent don't we. There is no line in the sand that separates 'us" from 'them'. We are them and we must be aware of ourselves and our flaws too. to me that's the struggle ... I keep getting in my own way.

Then there is only one question to ask and that is... 'Why couldn't your god produce the same the first time around and save all the misery.' ...but someone else will have to ask him as he doesn't talk to me. I cry myself to sleep about it every night!

For myself. I don't like it and if you look back, I called him out as a troll on many occasions.You could also check with June 7th and she will no doubt confirm that I wrote to her on several occasions expressing concerns that he wasn't what he was putting forward.
