Most quality incense comes from India and has Indian names.
Some smells are difficult to describe because they're unique. Many types of incense fall into that category. for me anyway. Nothing to compare them to.
If you mean it smells of light and trees and the outdoors, I agree. And often it smells of even more.
A nice incense always enhances one's milieu.
And its upward drift, like all smoke, is an offering.
yes.
yes.
and yes.
edited to add: Nag Champa always reminds me of being in a secluded spot in a deep, dark forest and the trees and the leaves and the rich soil underneath me, everything in those woods are just wrapping me up in safety and love. The soft rays of sunlight filtering through gently is God's touch. I feel God the most in nature. In His creation. The smell of Nag Champa always seems to put that sort of scene/feeling in my mind.
New Age is a "catch all phrase" for everything from meditation to beautiful instrumental, peaceful music. The term usually makes me roll my eyes. Organized Christianity took the term and ran with it as a label to stick on anything they could including rainbows to try to scare their people to death. Some people like being in bondage to fearfulness of everything under the sun, in the way that some animals like to be kept in a small space or a crate for comfort. I like wide open spaces myself. I've never liked being kept in a chicken coop.
I don't know any animal that likes to be caged, not even me.
But I do agree with what you have stated, it's a "catch all phrase."

I even agree with that; it can be and has been by people that didn't truly understand what it means and entails. And also, because those things do their level best to CATCH ALL ( bad pun intended). Peace

Nothing compares to an Ocean breeze; and the Mountain air, after the rain.

Nice...
I only think of one thing...a holy temple of some sort filled with meditators..maybe some low chanting
songs echoing within the walls.
Or a place with cool people that use it where I feel at home.
I just skimmed it admittedly, but I'd say he's got a pretty good grasp on it. Basically, any form of witchcraft, necromancy, fortune telling or idolatry, sums up the New Age category pretty well. It's all an abomination to Him. Peace
Well then, the New Age is exactly like the Old Age.
What's the difference in an Old Age Witch and a New Age Witch?
Idolatry is New Age, just like the Old Age Idolatry?
Fortune Telling? What New Ager came up with that?
Necromancy? Magic in general, Black art, communication with the dead as old as Saul; The New Age is the New Old Age.
You sure it's not just a bunch of people running around in circles?
