Did any of them self-identify as "not Christian" and then try to pass themselves off as Christian?
This isn't about a Christian denomination claiming exclusivity. Please try to understand that.
Clearly you are very frustrated.
When I was a school principal and had a group (whether it was parents, kids, or teachers) so against what we were doing, I tried to understand why.
I suggest that instead of just defending yourself (which seems to be failing), you go back and read all the posts that disagreed with you and try to figure out why the opposition is so strong.

I can understand that and now that you have clarified that at least one group "self identified" as not Christian and now at least members are claiming to be so, AND since you don't want to specify a group that has done so, please quote any statement saying "not Christian" to your mind so we can be sure you are not just misunderstanding th claim
I for one simply don't believe that there IS such a group and you are just trying to duck out of being exposed for a jaundiced OP.

I would rather not provide that quote, as the one that I would provide would probably get me accused of "denominational bashing". This particular religion is not the only one that said it...but it's the most prominent.
I can see this thread really isn't going anywhere, so I guess we might as well just close it. Not sure what I was expecting....I should have known people wouldn't actually be wiling to discuss it, and would twist my words.

Bullwhoop. An unattributed quote could not be construed as denomination bashing unless the particular denomination is named and that could be avoided just by substituting ----.

My guess as to your rationale is correct.
You've already demonstrated numerous times on other threads that it doesn't matter what others say, you'll ignore them and accuse them of whatever you wish them to say.

Oh, I totally understand. I don't believe there are any non-Christian denominations trying to pass themselves off as Christian. People don't self-identify as non-Christian and Christian at the same time. In other words, I don't find any Buddhists, Muslims, Jews, Hindus, Jains, or Baha'is -- all of whom self-identify as "non-Christian" -- trying to pass themselves off as Christian. Likewise, since I'm a Christian, I wouldn't try to pass myself off as a Buddhist, a Muslim, a Jew, a Hindu, a Jain or a Baha'i. I wouldn't self-identify as a Christian and then try to pass myself off as a Muslim. That simply wouldn't make any sense.
Maybe you could explain why you think someone would do that? That would be a really interesting topic of discussion.

If you believe someone was out-of-line, why don't you report him or her? I have found the staff to be quite conscientious in taking care of offensive posts.

Fourteen people have all said essentially the same thing, and not one has agreed with you. Honestly, doesn't that make you stop and think that you might possibly be wrong?
