Agreed. It really isn't. No apostle taught it.

We do not. We believe in God the Eternal Father, and in His Son Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost. We believe in three divine personages who are "one" in will, purpose, mind and heart. What we don't believe is that they are all three somehow part of a single substance which is at the same time both corporeal and non-corporeal. We have no hangups about not "confounding the Persons, or dividing the Essence." We're not into the Platonic mysticism that claims that that "three are one, and one is three; and yet that the one is not three, and the three are not one."

"The Book of Mormon" says, "And now, behold, my beloved brethren, this is the way; and there is none other way nor name given under heaven whereby man can be saved in the kingdom of God. And now, behold, this is the doctrine of Christ, and the only and true doctrine of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, which is one God..."

Well, I can assure you that they most certainly believed that it was, even if you and BaptistFundie don't, and nobody was telling them that they weren't "real Christians" and that they didn't worship the "real God."

OK, well I am a real Christian, so am I a source? Why or why not?

You can't make that case reasonably without providing some quotes from the apostles. Until then it's merely your opinion.

It's not "merely my opinion" that it was taught by early Church fathers (far more of them than I quoted) or by C.S. Lewis. And you can't make your case for the Trinity without providing some quotes from the Apostles. I call that a stalemate.

I am a real Christian, too, so I guess we're both sources.

So now we are not real Christians? Only Mormons are?

No, I don't think of myself that highly. I understand that Mormons do, though.

I never said that. I never even implied it. And furthermore, that's not what I believe. I have never once said anything on this forum to lead anyone to conclude that I believe that only Mormons are "real Christians." So don't put words in my mouth.

On the other hand, what's good for the goose is good for the gander, Jencam. If I have to quote one of the Apostles as saying what numerous early Christian fathers taught in order to convince you and BaptistFundie that what I believe (regarding Deification) is sound Christian doctrine, then you should have to quote one of the Apostles as saying what the early Christian creeds taught to prove to me that what you believe (regarding the Trinity) is sound Christian doctrine.
