I've never once seen a Methodist come to my door to convert me. Not sure where you live that it's common. Just doesn't happen in my area.

Just like following Muhammad instead of Jesus is perfectly fine for Muslims, but it doesn't work for me.

I don't say either is wrong, just different. My personal belief is that no one can say any belief is RIGHT or WRONG. We don't know. Most of us believe what we were taught to growing up.
It appears you are not well informed about either Islam or the LDS church, not to mention Christians who don't ascribe to biblical literalism.

Since we have Katzpur on here, an actual well-educated, intelligent, Mormon who started the thread for informational purposes about the LDS church, it is curious that you are trying so hard to contradict what she has presented. One would almost think you haven't read anything that she posted.

I am well informed of both. I am not understanding how this thread is different than other in which we all may disagree on things.

It's probably regional. I've had less than a handful of JW's knock at my door in all of my 60 years. No one else. It's just not a thing in New Jersey.

On the other hand, I've worked all my life in New York City, and you get street preachers, subway preachers, Hare Krishnas, the big Jewish RV that rides around blaring out messages over the loudspeaker, and billboards and ads on the sides of buses paid for by atheists declaring their unbelief and inviting you to join their organization.

It all adds color to the city.

I am especially curious on what you base your statement that I am ignorant of Islam. Perhaps you can elaborate.

Oh, no, you are entitled to disagree and to state your opinion. But it just seems odd to post things contradictory to what a member of a church has stated on the thread that she started about her church.

She can address them, or not, if she wants. I was just pointing out that it didn't appear as if you were responding to what she wrote.

I didn't contradict anything. I made a statement regarding the God that Mormons worship. This was not something she had addressed.

I've seen a few hanging around. I just had One visit from a pair of them. Once was plenty.

OK. You said:

I don't think that's accurate. I don't think any Muslims consider themselves to be following Muhammad "instead" of Jesus, since Jesus (Isa) is their most important prophet and like Christians, they await his return. It might be more accurate to say "following Muhammad's perceptions/writings about Jesus". As I'm sure you are aware, they don't believe Jesus to be God or to have been crucified and resurrected, as much of Christianity does.

Was it difficult to dispose of the bodies?
