The Flying Pig!!
I love it! It still cracks me up after all these years.
But y'all still don't get it.
You hafta explain to them that it is no different than seeing Cinderella at Disney World. The Ark Encounter and the Creation Museum are depictions of the metaphorical events and characters in those ancient religious writings.
Just as the story of Cinderella teaches that in the end, being stoic in face of oppression and putting forth a vibe of hope and love, will win over oppression, cruelty, jealousy, and hatred...so too, the characters and stories in religious books have a message to convey.
That the Ark Encounter and The Creation Museum have mock-ups of those metaphorical/allegorical stories and characters...just like Cinderella at Disney World.
Your explanation would be wonderful if the builder of the Ark Encounter wasn't pushing that the story was to be taken literally. As have many on here.

That's just it though...don't mock and bash them for mistakenly taking it literally...lead them in the right direction in a nice, cool way.
If you are looking to persuade them otherwise...insulting and mocking them would be the least effective method and actually counterproductive.

I never will insult. I will certainly mock adults pushing fairy tales.

They got a name for people that get off on mocking people for things they think are not right about them...but no worries, it applies to most when they do that, me included.

Yes. Irrelevancies. What is relevant is the evidence. I don't mind either of us being irrelevant, so long as we can laugh at ourselves, or at least, each other. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dkhAD2WEX8M

We goddless bastards are profoundly grateful for your helpful advice on how to become more effective. However, that is subtlety that is beyond our capabilities at present and, given that we we are talking to carapaces that make a billiard ball look like poached egg, we might risk being ineffective and our efforts becoming null and void, which is of course the last thing you want.
I would prefer to employ and advocate instead, making it plain that Genesis is not and cannot be historical fact as they claim, and I would bet that the shift from Genesis Literalism to Metaphor/symbolism would be more likely to happen if if we pointed out that Polystrates now refute the Flood rather than being evidence for it than leading them in a nice cool way..
"Very nice exhibit. Impressive, No expense spared. But maybe some hint that it might be metaphorical rather than.."
"No. The Bible is Literally true cover to cover."
"Right, sure, but couldn't literally true perhaps mean..."
"No."
"Right..but possibly.."
"No."
"Right..."

Yep, that's a pretty clear-eyed review! I guess I knew that employees were required to sign a "Statement of Faith," but didn't realize that included a ban on LGBTQ, or that Ark was actively homophobic... with a campaign to "Take Back the Rainbow." Shouldn't be surprised.
I've been cudgeling my brains to recall what "Q" stands for. But I bet they don't ask about Gender inclinations at the box office.
It stands for "Questioning." Those who are uncertain which way the gender/inclination winds blow - so to speak.
