Bummer. Must be depressing to be so jaded. I'm at least mildly surprised every day that I awaken.

Once again, completely missing the point. Probably deliberately. We are unsurprised, also. Whether it was intended to prove that the Ark could have been feasible, or is rather more giving the visitor an spurious feeling that it could have worked by building this grotesque tub with clockwork models to look convincing, it is a fraud of a fraud. A fake of a fake, and it would be reprehensible even if it was exceeding the expected visitor figures and turning Kentucky into a state richer that Dubai.

You guys really should get together and take some type of legal action against the Ark Encounter/ Ken Hamm. You all may be able to set some type of precedent so that nothing like this ever happens again.

Why are you quoting me? This post has nothing to do with my post.

And the post he quoted, like the many similar ones you whined, had nothing to do with the thread.

I gather that some legal initiatives were started, some by the county and some perhaps by FFRF, who seem to be behind a lot of these legal battles. But somehow Creation Ministries seemed to do some kind of deal to short -circuit it.

It was rather shocking to read a judge ruling that the religion -based discrimination against hiring workers who did not have the religious beliefs that Ken Ham approved of was ok as a believers has a right to arrange their business as they wish.

But, last I heard, discrimination in hiring practices is not acceptable, and religion is not an excuse in law. The Ruling was surely because Kentucky us very religious, the elected personnel are religious (or have to pretend to be, to keep their jobs) and the decisions are going to be made to favour religion and to hell with man -made law.

It has everything to do with it, because even though it did not quote the post it was responding to, it applied to all of them because is was a blanket dismissal of everything we said by playing the Bias card. You can wriggle as much as you like, we have got you pinned down. You have only one option open (unless you suddenly discover intellectual honesty) and that is to flounce off - but you need to get the Last Word first so that you can tell yourself that you won. If you don't then you will not be able to shake the nagging suspicion that you have been beaten, and I believe that no God -believer can do that as, deep down, they believe that God is supplying them with all the right answers.

I say again, that Jeff does well by comparison. He presents evidence, he puts us on the spot. Of course he has bias, and so do we - we admit it. But that doesn't matter - the weight of the evidence does. Thus I have a lot of time for Jeff.

But regrettably you have just one widdle and you have run dry, and then it's wriggling like a punk kid trying to bamboozle Judge Judy, who is not fooled in the slightest, and neither are we.

Most people are working class and don't have the time to dedicate to this type of thing, so if you want it eliminated you all must persist.

Ah This why the Nones have to rise, voting had to change and different type of people get elected. That is something even I stuck here in Not so very great these days Britain (1) can do a little bit to help. I doubt that I would be very effective as a Mover and Shaker, but, if I and the other Perditionated pondscum buggered off, the Fundies would be swamping the place (as happened once after we'd all been off barbecueing babies or fornicating in the streets or whatever we Hellbound satanspawn get up to during Easter, Christmass and HarryPotters'nacht holiday time). So I feel that I be of more use here.

That's my excuse anyway, and I'm sticking to it.

(1) even Total war and Napoleon video wargames with revolutionary war module seems to have the redcoats getting beat by Washington every time
