Why would someone choose to follow a religion they thought was false?
Of course I believe it's Christianity, as should all Christians. Otherwise they're not actually paying attention to what Jesus said.
When I was a Jehovah's Witness in high school I was preaching to a classmate like I was trained to do. She said to me "You just think you're right." I had no clue what that meant. It seemed nonsensical to me.
It means that there are other opinions, other ways of looking at things. Most of those other ways are outside of my knowledge so I need to account for that. At the time, I wasn't able to separate fact from opinion. A person's conclusions about the validity of there one way of looking at things doesn't negate the validity of another persons way of looking at things.

yes. people don't understand that both can be right. Both can be wrong too. now what? How do we evaluate claims?
people also think that what they feel makes their opinion more right. Its a struggle to show people that one person's feelings don't make choices more right or more wrong. They can't seem to think outside of their personal emotional state.

Do the best you can I guess but don't get so locked into one way of thinking that you can't change your mind if need be. Don't try and reduce the world to such a small scale that it fits neatly inside your knowledge.

that's what I preach everyday of my life. Every post i make can be linked to your answer.
The number one problem I see is people not knowing what they don't know and even worse, they think that what they know, and feel, is all anybody needs to know.
