Shukrahn (Thank You) my friend.

It is a good time for us. A time to reflect on the important matters in life and learn what we can do without.

If the term Happy Ramadan is the appropriate one, then that is my wish to you Woodrow. Even us atheists understand celebrating important times of the year.

Woodrow, good Ramadan to you! And don't stay up too late at night to munch out--that's cheating.

Edit--I have to add that I was kidding--I respect you a lot and I can tell you live what you say.

Tennessee leaders renounce state's role in Trail of Tears - WSMV Channel 4

Quote:
Imagine someone coming to your door and saying, "Be like us or leave."

That's what happened to the people of the five Native American nations that stood here well before European settlers started moving in.
Quote:
As a result of the Indian Removal Act of 1830, all Native Americans refusing to blend in with the ever-expanding new nation were put on a several hundred mile forced march, now called the Trail of Tears. Thousands died along its path.

With a round of cheers Friday, nearly 200 years later, the State of Tennessee publicly renounced its role in the Trail of Tears and expressed its regret.
O s dv (good)

Shukrahn My Friend

LOL since Ramadan is occurring this time of year Have to fast from About 4:30 AM to 10:30 PM leaves only 6 hours to munch and get some sleep and still squeeze in the Isha prayer and Fajr prayer.

For those who wonder, we are forbidden to fast to the extent it endangers our health. Because of my age and poor health I am not able to do a full fast. I usually have to take some fluids and sometimes a small snack if I begin to feel dizzy. My intent is to do a full fast but this old body does not always cooperate.
