I think knowledge can often help us understand where and how to best apply what we feel, so it is a good thing.

As I recall it, there are three levels. First comes Knowledge. Then comes Understanding. And finally, if it comes at all, there is Wisdom. None of these is absolute. It is not only possible, but likely, that one can be wise in one or two areas and completely ignorant in many others.

Here are some more words of wisdom:

All that you encounter is your destiny in sight.Learn from those around you. Listen to those that truly love you, and care for you. Search for those whose heart is true and pure, spend the time needed to become close to all of your brothers and sisters.

The earth is Mother to all things. To her, all things are returned.treat her with the respect that you would treat your own flesh and blood. Care for all her creatures, be they plants or animals.. Do this and you will always have a home.

The things you do and learn, the paths you are giving and choose, and the walk toward the place of death only gives you the first ingredient for wisdom. Always be reverent to the Great Spirit, use the knowledge you gather, practice it daily and give it freely to all, then and only then can you be deemed to be wise.

This I remember, and I bought a CD of his music from seeing your post, GoodPasture, and I love it. That bald guy plays drums with him in other songs.
"Medicine Man" is really great.

Good to come here and see words of peace. Refreshing thoughts, friendly conversation, words of wisdom. A good place to sit and enjoy the campfire and listen to kind hearts beating.
