Ted Nugent is one of the most outspoken haters in the USA. I don't think it's a bad thing to call him out on it.

Perhaps not, but why do so within the sacred circle?

Because sometimes even the wisest and most even-tempered among us can be provoked to anger - with just cause.

Expressing same among friends who do not rush to judgment can be healthy. It clears away bad spirits/feelings.

Among my culture we have a tradition that has existed for centuries.
Whenever we come together to discuss things of great importance it is always done within the sacred circle. Anyone is welcome to come and sit within the sacred circle and participate in the discussions, however all animosity, hatred and prejudice are left outside of the sacred circle, these things are not allowed within its confines and each individual who steps within the sacred circle is expected to help govern it and be responsible to see to it that peace, harmony, and understanding prevail within the sacred circle.
So now my brothers and sisters, I invite you to step within the sacred circle and tell us about your beliefs or non-beliefs without criticism or animosity to one another.
Remember, all are welcomed here who come with a good heart.

I completely understand ptsum's anger and I am sure that given time to consider his outburst he will agree that it does not belong here. It should be brought to the main forum. I am no saint and I often violate my own standards . . . so no harm done. But Mensa130 is just doing what is expected of us all . . . trying to police the peace, harmony and understanding of the sacred circle.

Perhaps - but you'll have to pardon me for being suspicious of his motives.

Nah, you don't have to pardon me at all. I'm still suspicious.

Perhaps he agrees with Ted Nugent? *shrug*

At any rate ... 'nuff said.

That is why the animosities do not belong in the circle in the first place, Shirina . . . righteous as they may be. There will always be doubts and suspicions that disrupt the peace and harmony here. I also doubt . . . but I doubt that the Ted Nugent types would have any desire to be in here.

there is a fine line here. The anger was not directed towards anyone in the Circle. It was mentioned in the circle, but the anger was outside the circle.

I love and respect ptsum, too, Wood . . . but the line is not quite that fine. Still . . . it IS his circle.
