can I ask you one. Do you understand what I mean (the importance of) when I say that the primary items needed for a claim are explanation, mechanism, repeatable predictions, and how consistent with observation the claims is?
That when a claim has them they are more reliable then claims that don't. Period the end. It doesn't mean the claim is the only answer, it just means that its more reliable than those that don't.
Are you referring to a claim as part of the scientific method where observations are made, a theory is made, tested, adjusted as necessary to more-accurately reflect the results of the test until the theory exactly matches the results.
For example. I claim that the acceleration due to earth's gravity is 20 fps/s. Tests are conducted show that figure is too low. It is then adjusted upwards to say 35 fps/s and again tested No, that is too high. Such is repeated until the claim is now 32 fps/s and test results prove that figure is correct.
Many people have a very negative attitude toward proselytizers. Certainly you understand that.
Considering the prevalence of Religion in this world, and how much proselytizing there is (even for "NonReligious" ideologies)...anyone that has a negative view towards it will be pretty much in a state of constant angst.
That is most unfortunate.

And that is what I actually do fight against -- not the belief in whatever you believe, but in the overreach of religion interfering in the lives of others.

Yes...I already knew you fight against Religion and it's derivative influence and motivations you do not agree with.
