I bought him a bottle of this one Christmas and he continues to buy it. I think it smells good on him but he showers daily, is very clean, brushes and flosses and that was one thing I really liked about him also back in the day.

He also shaves every day and I like that too.

Never liked after-shaves or colognes, etc... They smell aggressive & artificial & remind me of being in some third world nation's slow elevator crowded shoulder-to-shoulder with no aircon & too much after-shave abuse.

Just smell clean guys.

I guess humankind has outgrown it's pleasure in marketed scents. So many complain of discomfort around them. We're all "chemicaled" to death apparently.

It's Holy Week here in Mexico where I'm vacationing and the locals are out in their best form. Walking on the beach means passing more than a few dapper gentlemen smelling very strongly of roses, peonies, lilies. Makes me chuckle.

We've followed the herd at our house and rarely wear a scent anymore lest we cause pain and suffering to our fellow creatures. It's a convenience for DH and a sacrifice for me. (Your welcome.)

But reading here again reminded me of my dating years in the '60s when no high school boy worth dating would have been caught dead without his English Leather, Jade East or Brut.

Back when we were all stalwart and could handle a waft of perfume. LOL

Before reading Lodestar's Post, brought to mind a memory 55 years ago ! Purchasing English Leather, at a drugstore. Possibly as a Christmas gift for a special gentleman friend.

One of the problems is when people get older they let their personal hygiene slip. As an example. When I was in business it was, shave, shower, and put on clean clothes every morning. I always smelled soap fresh and I wore a little aftershave. Now I shower/shave every 3-4 days, and put on clean clothes every other day though I put on clean underwear every day.

Bottom line is I am not as clean and fresh as I use to be......LOL

Several years ago I tried a sample and then started started using Axe Phoenix body wash.
Occasionally a little under arm spray on deodorant also Axe Phoenix.
The other varieties of Axe are OK but not as good as Phoenix.

No cologne, no aftershave

This meets with my wife's approval, hopefully I smell young!
