Instead of a bidget you can use a spray bottle, pressure spray bottle or water bottle instead. I read that in a survival magazine publication.

The word is perineal, not perianal. That might give you a clue that this author has no real knowledge and is blowing smoke.
Not going to debate whether the arguments put forth in the article are valid or not, however claiming the author is clueless because of his word usage is an invalid conclusion.
