San Francisco: 53 with a 16 mph wind making a WINDCHILL OF 48. IN FREAKING JULY. I bet tourists are getting hypothermia in their summer clothes.

San Diego: 72

Sacramento: 91

Miami: 84

Houston: 81

Atlanta: 79

New Orleans: 82

Interesting that San Francisco has the worst weather by far of the bunch and then Sacramento is hotter than all those cities in the sultry South right now (although I'd take 91 and even up to 110 with AC over the 40s windchill anyday in what is supposed to be the hottest time of the year).

Why do you cherry pick your data? Or maybe when you did all that research you just overlooked the fact that at 9PM it was 105 in Phoenix.

That's what I grew up with. I actually love cloudless skies for months on end. It gives you a true two-season feel of dry vs rainy season. When we moved to San Diego, I found it annoying to wake up to morning overcast and then afternoon sun so many days of the year. You'd get into a gloomy-day mood and then change it all later. But we've since moved farther inland and get all that sun now, so we're happy. :-)

Get so sick of the 6-7 months of constant sun here. Makes me miss and appreciate the marine layer.

Overcast doesn't have to mean cold (only Californians think that). I miss last summer when we got several episodes of handsome warm rain/thunderstorms in Southern California, even at the coast (which are far better than the boring marine layer). I like lots of sun and warmth in summer but with a little water from mother nature to keep things green and interesting. My ideal summer weather would be a high of 84 low of 68 with two short thundershowers a week. And, yes I grew up in California but am likely transferring to the University of Florida, Miami in fall of 2017.

Back to the original topic, I agree that Sacramento's summer weather isn't terrible but I just like to remind the OP and others that not everyone wants blue dome skies for 6 months straight and some people prefer a humid 85 to a dry 95.

You don't live in Sac, so how can you be sick of the weather?

Norcal marine layer sucks. It makes the beaches freezing and sucky. Hanging out at Folsom Lake is more enjoyable than any coastal nor cal beach, since you don't need a wetsuit.

I was referring to the outer East Bay and I wasn't talking about the Northern CA marine layer either.

Folsom Lake doesn't have waves, surf, and the sight, smells, and sounds of being on the ocean.
Southern California beaches have all that and they're warm enough to enjoy the water.

Where in the "outer east bay"? I grew up in the east bay and don't recall these 6-7 months of constant sun with no marine layer.
