I need an OEM alternator rebuilt and I'm looking for a shop here in town that does this kind of work. Anyone have any recommendations?

There's one near Bandera / Eckhert in that little industrial area... not sure of the name but it's over there.

Scuba Steve (South Carolina? Weren't you in San Antonio via Seattle?)
So anyway, I hope the name of that one you mentioned on Eckhert near Bandera is NW Starter & Alternator. I looked them up & gave 'em a call about rebuilding a 60s Mustang alternator, and Mike (who's "done rebuilds since '98," & his boss 10 yrs longer) says there's sometimes a same-day turnaround (!) I will take in the alternator (& regulator) tomorrow and see how they do.
