Figured this title would attract some attention...

I posted in a landscaping thread originally, but it didn't seem to get any response. We're looking for recommendations on a company that can do some work on our back yard. Right now there's an above ground pool and deck there that I can't stand and am going to get rid of. I will need some sod and am also looking to get a patio probably made out of that decorated and colored cement. Some other options are maybe a flower/rock bed to take up some space. The back yard is pretty big (about 80x60) so I have some space to kill. I had a guy from Artscapes come out yesterday, but their prices were a little more than I'm looking to spend, like a Lot more.. The budget is only around $4K right now, but if it's worth it we're willing to go higher.

BTW, if anyone is interested in a free above ground pool (28' x 16' or something like that) and deck, feel free to contact me. You'll have to take it apart and move it yourself though, but it's totally free for the taking and works just fine.

rd2007, I tried to PM you but it won't allow it.

Anyway, I know of someone who would be very interested in the pool. Please email me at dmarc22@gmail.com or derekmarc@sametro.org. Hold off on giving it away, please.

As for your question, I apologize as I can not help there.

Did you price how much it will cost to remove from your house and install at the new location? I am also giving away my Above ground pool at my rental property to my brother-in-law.

e-mail is sent and I can't figure out how to get PM's working on this board.. Every other board I've been on just does them.. anyhow, hopefully your friend will want it as that'll save me quite a bit of money (and will also save them quite a bit as the pool was around $5K..)

You didn't mention if they also were interested in the deck, so if they aren't then I'll still be giving that away.. It's in good shape and just needs a good power washing and some sealant to get it back to new. Or if anyone is just interested in a LOT of wood then feel free to get it..

I just checked your profile and you haven't been a member for one full day yet. You need to have one post and be a member for one full day, so you're almost there.

rd2007, if 210's friends end up not wanting/being able to take the pool, let us know. We'd be interested in the deck as well (with or without the pool).

And if you find somebody for the landscaping, please let everybody here know! Quite a few of us have been trying to find somebody that will at lease show up, let alone do a good job! Best of luck!

woohoo, I now have PMability

as far as the pool and deck, I think I may have talked those one people out of the pool.. They definitely have their down side and it will take quite a bit of work to get it all out and reassemble the whole thing and I need it out by the end of next week.
I did find a person that'll destroy it all, haul it away, level the yard again, put in a 14' x 20 ' extension on my patio (with colored and pressed concrete) and lay sod all for under $5K. I don't know the rules on advertising on this board, so I won't mention his ad on a well known for sale/service site. I'm glad I looked there though because I have now found quite a few people that do this type of work and for reasonable prices.
