I looked in their window yesterday and I think I saw a trail of snail slime...

definitely didn't look like it was going to be open anytime soon, unfortunately

If you're referring to The House of Pizza... the owner is Middle Eastern. Their pizza buffet is pretty good and dirt cheap.

This question is more about Potranco than 1604.. There's a new taqueria off Potranco by the new Church's chicken. My wife said it's Jalisco something or something like that. Anybody been there? if so, anything good or bad to say about it? I'm in the mood for some good cheap taco's tonight and need to find out quick before my wife leaves work. otherwise I'll have to go down Potranco and we all know that's not a good thing

Have never tried it, but on Sat mornings when I go to drop off the drycleaning at the Ken's right next door have difficulty finding a parking place...so that speaks well of it I suppose.

Do let us know....we are headed off to Sips and More for dinner tonite since they are open evenings on Wed and Thur nite....waiting for DH to make it home from work.

I also noticed there is now Saizon Mexican Grill (?) @ Ellison/Potranco ~ same strip as Wok Inn. Anybody know if that's new/good?

(btw - we expect a full report when we wake up rd!! )

Also, looks like Wash Tub will be opening soon. It's really hummin along (they must not have hired Burger King and Which Wich's snails! ) and the back of my HEB receipt has a coupon for them that says "Opening Mid February". Yea!!! I'll be glad to have a "full service" car wash close by. Know everyone else said "no more car washes", and I agree ~ on the automated/self-serve type. But full serve ~ yeah, I'm there!!

mmmh, Mexican grill sounds good too. This is the one problem with never driving down Potranco. I work at Kelly now, so I just do the Military to 151 thing, but maybe I'll brave Potranco this weekend.. I remember when I first moved here in 2001 and thought Potranco was a huge waste of road because there was never anybody on it. Five cars at a light was a major traffic snarl.. Those were the good old days

Good news on the wash tub opening soon too because my wife's car came with free washes, but going up to Bandera just wasn't convenient.

Bad news and then worse....

We went to Double Daves tonite because Sips and More has closed. EVERYTHING inside their store is gone and locked up tight.

I asked the girl at the Florist in the same little strip thinking they had moved. She said, NO they closed 2 weeks ago. Sure hope she is wrong and someone knows of a new location for them.....

Ended up going to Double Daves at Potranco/1604. TOTALLY unimpressed. Would not go back at all. And to think that I was so anxious for them to open. If the others are like this one, sure can't see how it is still in business. Oh well...Witch Wich will be opening soon....hopefully.
