Sorry for the confusion. Yes, Starbucks is purchasing a tiny rectangle plot in the area closest to the intersection. The sale is supposed to close November 1st and I would expect construction soon after.
There are lots of rumors about businesses going in there but Starbucks is the only one hat is definite.

I think they mean the SE corner, Evans and Stone Oak. The other side of the intersection is where Evans becomes Canyon Golf Rd.

When did Old West Burgers close? It is still showing open on Yelp and Ubanspoon.

Pobre is correct.
When Stone Oak was developed that corner was used as a dumping area for large boulders. Now 25 years later it was determined the boulders had to be dug up and crushed to stabilize the soil. It had to be done to make it saleable. At least the project appears to be completed.

Border Grill sign up at former location of Del Fuego's (1604 access road between Bitters & Huebner). Looks like the 2nd location of a Houston (Pasadena) restaurant.

Napa Flats Wood-fired Kitchen has a sign up in front of the old Carrabas on 1604 West of Stone Oak - next to Applebees. I guess they're from College Station.

The Wendy's at Babcock and Huebner has closed. I'm not sure if it was on the list of Wendy's that were going to close a while back. It's been gone for at least the last few weeks.
