Now I've never been to Nicha's but this area has enough mexican places same goes for fried chicken.Would rather see a Black Eyed Pea of which only one is left in SanAntonio or maybe a Cotton Patch(similar food) or something else. Wouldn't mind a seafood place over here like Red Lobster or something. And yes I do like Sea Island.

True, too much Mexican. I'm thinking these Southside owners see all the "gringos" on the ne side and think instant cash cow. It's like in the selena movie when he says "we have a bunch of gringos here and gringos love Mexican food". So boom, when all else fails, open a Mexican restaurant. I'm shocked the old golden chik hasn't been turned into a Los Robertos yet too. But yea, a resurgence of Black Eyed Peas or something like that would be awesome.

You lost me when you tried to hinge your POV on the Selena movie

Gino's East is opening on thursday @ 8224 Fredericksburg Rd. It appears to be a full service restaurant with beer, sandwiches and a touch of Mexican food as well.

Yes, it is.

Locations | Gino's East Of Chicago Deep Dish Pizza

Gino's is all about pizza. I hate to think they'd chain these out and add something like Mexican food to fudge the menu up
