I think the larger issue is visibility for the eatery. That portion of 1604 carries over 100,000 cars a day.

That shopping Center is not in Shavano Park. Huebner is not part of Shavano Park. NW Military, of course is, but Shavano Park proper ends closer to De Zavala than to that intersection.

Right, but if you drive from 1604/NW Military, you have to drive through Shavano.

The Restaurant for lease sign is gone, may mean that Mad dogs is moving in, or it flew off

I went to Tre Trattoria downtown at the fairmount and they told us next sunday is their last day.

There is a sign up for a new restaurant at the intersection of Old Camp Bullis Rd and I-10 (northern part of The Rim) that says it is called WangChao. Indicates the food is Mandarin cuisine. Can't find any evidence this is an established chain.
