Good idea AirForceDoc! You might want to make it into a poll to see how much it is supported.

Anyone else wondering when the new lights on Culebra outside 1604 are going to be working? And what about the pavement to the entrances of Taft HS & AR Marketplace. It's seems like they just called it quits. I haven't seen any work being done in over a month!

seriously? about freaking time! I used to stop by it, but it got annoying because nothing ever changed. Glad they are finally moving along and I bet they make a fortune. I can understand some companies cutting back, but there are certain areas (AR is definitely one of them) that will make tons of money. CFA is a good example because I've never seen it not über busy inside and a JJ would be perfect to wash it down.
It's located in those little shops along the second AR entrance if you're heading north on the 1604 access road (to the right almost directly in front of Super Target). It's very small and the sign is impossible to read from much of a distance.

I'm working on creating a website Moderator cut: link - see comment for the Alamo Ranch folks.

Right now it's just a forum, but I would like to add some content to the front page eventually, but I'll need some ideas and input. I do not, repeat, do not want to take traffic or people away from City-data, but would like it to compliment their site with more specifics to the AR community.

If anyone has any ideas, let me know.

Thanks for running with the ball, nrlatsha! I've been griping about the fact that there's no real AR-specific site out there. The HOA(s) don't have anything relevant, at least.

+1

I wrote an email to Joe, the president of the HOA around July. Got an email in Sept stating that:

"I’m currently in preliminary talks with ICI Services for the purpose of designing and maintaining a website for Alamo Ranch C.A. This will be a tremendous benefit to residents and the association, improving the ability of information sharing. As soon as something is finalized I’ll mail out a notice to residents announcing the website."

I'm still waiting on that site, and there is a blog available for our block, but nothing that allows freedom to reply, etc.

So i decided to do this.
