majormadmax - not really sure, but I would like to know as well. That is if you are talking about the land north of Walgreen's inside 1604 across from Wal-Mart. That is a very large section of land that they have cleared out, and would be way to large for a strip center. Also that land seems to be very low lieing, and looks like it would have flood issues for any tenants. I know they are building a Methodist Hospital on the south end of Culebra inside of 1604 all the way back to 151 from what I hear so it wouldn't be that. Although I am curious to know when that project is starting as well. Man I hope they have immediate plans to have some sort of infastructure improvements done soon with hospitals comming up on 151, and out here. They will have to get rid of the lights between Potranco, and Braun.

Yeah, that is the area I am talking about. They cleared out all along Culebra Creek to the Culebra Road bridge, and as you can see all the way from 1604 to the neighborhood to the east of it. It is a huge swath and I cannot figure out what might go there unless they are planning on an Alamo Ranch II...

Cheers! M2

We saw that a few days ago, but there was not much graded at that time looked about strip mall size. We know anything Disney will not fit there no matter what . Is there any way to check what the area is zoned for?

Isn't that area supposed to be a sports park?

You're correct. After some investigating, most of the area being developed is going to be the San Antonio Culebra Creek Park (145 acres). According to BCAD the land is owned by San Antonio.

http://www.ci.sat.tx.us/sapar/system...SystemPlan.pdf

There also appears to be development that is parallel to Loop 1604 on the east side (just north of the developing park). This is probably a commercial development as it is 107 acres owned by an out-of-town partnership.

Default Logan's Roadhouse

I passed a sign today around the OG area that stated "Logan's Roadhouse coming soon".

Googling it looks like Logan's is a steak place, something the 1604/Culebra intersection currently lacks.

Do any Culebra-ites know if Logan's is a decent steak place and when it is scheduled to open?

Thanks!

I have been to the logans off on I-10 and de zavala. Its like a Texas Road House. Steaks are pretty good, and their homemade rolls are to die for . That sign has been there for quite a while, just as the red robin one has. I'm sure they are wanting to work on one at a time. Either way, I also would concur that this area is in need of a good steak house
