My understanding is that the technology still has problems when having to look through plastic. Hmmm I wonder

It's happened to me several times on international flights, which I can never understand as I am such a nice lookin' fella! But I just went through Frankfurt last month and had no problems either going in or leaving.

Anyhow, since I do a lot of traveling I guess I am just used to it. I don't care what machinery they employ, as stated if it reduces the time spent going through security than I am all for it! I not only hate the time waiting in line, but being herded through in such a rush once you get to the front! TSA has got to figure out a better way to screen passengers, and this may be a part of the solution.

Cheers! M2

Yeah, take Amsterdam for example, the US-bound flights are off in their own wing, and they ask about a million questions, multiple times...Fortunately they're always really nice about it all, but it takes FOREVER.

Luckily the last few times we flew direct from Geneva to the US, so no extra security check in Europe, only one. Geneva has generally been ok - they do all the security, but it doesn't seem to be as intrusive.

It wouldn't make me feel safer at all and would probably just make me angry. How long until we just fly naked while sedated so no one has a chance of trying anything? And just because i oppose it doesn't mean im hiding anything.
These types of invasions of privacy should be taken seriously. Unfortunately, the promise of less waiting times seems to sway the sheep in its direction.

Are you my husband? These are his exact words, more or less

I honestly don't feel anything they've done since 9/11 has made flying any safer. I'm fine with extra security, but as long as the people doing the security are not competent, the many machines aren't going to help.

Hey, great idea! That would work on many, many levels.

If there are any females out there that are wanting to take preparatory scans, I can set up a private testing area. One on one so you wont be so surprised at the airport. I mean in the interest of Homeland security and all that.

Anyone on that monitor while I go through a full body scan would quickly have their eyes bleeding! *lol*

Amendment 4 - Search and Seizure

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

So shouldn't this fall under an unreasonable search and seizure? Forcing people to either basically strip down (without actually taking clothes off) or get pat down seems to be pretty unreasonable. This stuff really pisses me off.
