That looks ****ing disgusting. I hate seeing miles of cookie cutter homes. At least the scenery is nice.

And those last photos are what makes SA like everyone else.

Love the pics! This is why I love San Antonio! My husband sold his business of 34 years in September and we CHOSE San Antonio over any place to re-lo. Or, maybe SA CHOSE us! Tha't how we feel, anyway!

SA isn't like everyone else. Sure suburban sprawl is suburban sprawl no matter where you go but that doesn't define a city. No city is defined by its suburban housing stock.

I guess your idea of "cookie cutter homes" is pretty broad. To me, every home would look almost exactly the same. There are some neighborhoods with less expensive housing that do look like cookie cutter homes (about 5 feet apart and look like big boxes); however, the pictures below show some very nice homes. The only problem I have is that every house has the same color roof.

Most of SA's population live in neighborhoods like the one you joined (may not be as new, though). SA's culture is in Downtown, once you leave it, that is it.
