I didn't know this about his wife:Swayze was married since 1975 to Niemi, a fellow dancer who took lessons with his mother; they met when he was 19 and she was 15. A licensed pilot , Niemi would fly her husband from Los Angeles to Northern California for treatment at Stanford University Medical Center , People magazine reported in a cover story.

Aww...this is another sad one. He was incredible in Ghost....my fav of all his films.
Sapphire...I read that entire article, and I was also touched by that part in the story. I wonder where they went to school in Houston. Surely the Houston CD is talking about their hometown loss tonight.
