Last night, Good Time Charlie's, good steak fingers and fried mushrooms. That gravy is the bomb. This morning, Thousand Oaks Cafe, nothing special just good solid Chilaquiles.

And we ate at el Chapparal in Helotes the other night, and for the second time in a row service was lousy. We waited way too long for our food, our waiter mixed up our drink orders (and he put the spoon in the sweet tea glass instead of the unsweetened one
), and the place wasn't that busy and there were a lot of people working. This is the second time in a row that this has happened to us, and honestly it is beginning to put me off! This used to be one of our favorite eateries in the area, but unless we hear that their service improves it may be a while before we go back! There are way too many other options to have to put up with slow/poor service!

We stopped eating out except for very special occasions. We did eat at Grillicious on the Club level at the Alamodome on Saturday during the Roadrunner football game (go Birds!) but it was absolutely AWFUL and the employees there didn't know what they were doing. Wished we would have tailgated instead.

), and the place wasn't that busy and there were a lot of people working. This is the second time in a row that this has happened to us, and honestly it is beginning to put me off! This used to be one of our favorite eateries in the area, but unless we hear that their service improves it may be a while before we go back! There are way too many other options to have to put up with slow/poor service!
