Glad to hear it. Statistics compiled by DPS have long shown that CHL holders are far less likely to commit crimes than those without. The 2012 report can be found here, and shows that of the total convictions in Texas for a variety of crimes during over the year, only 0.1897% were committed by CHL holders.

So the fear that allowing licensed, law-abiding citizens to conceal carry in businesses somehow makes for a less safe situation is completely unfounded. If anything, the complete opposite is true!

Nice addition to the texas3006.com page, M2

If you like a product at Sprouts, google it and you can find other places that carry it.

I’ve come to the conclusion that my posting individual threads a few weeks before these great gun shows here in San Antonio may not be giving everyone enough time to prepare to attend, so for 2014 I’m taking a different approach to letting everyone know about the best gun show in the area, the Premier Original San Antonio Gun Show!

So, instead this year I am going to start one thread listing all the dates, and I’ll post updates and reminders to it so folks can subscribe to it and get everything they need to know without having to find the new thread!

First, there are two shows scheduled so far this year….

March 22 & 23, 2014
May 31 & June 1, 2014

Both will be at the Freeman Expo Hall next to the AT&T Center (3201 East Houston Street) here in San Antonio. Hours are Saturday from 9am to 5pm, and Sunday 10am to 4pm; and general admission is still only $8 (cash only), weekend passes are $12 (also cash only) and children UNDER 12 and Uniformed Peace Officers get in free!

And, thanks to the nice folks at Premier, parking is FREE!!

Befriend Premier Gun Shows on Facebook and learn the secret word that gets you a dollar off entry posted before every show, or you can join their email list and get a dollar off as well!

Again, watch/subscribe to this thread and I’ll post any updates and reminders about a month and two weeks prior to the show!

Cheers! M2

Just a thought. We are being inundated with candidate proclaiming their support for the 2nd Amend. for all levels of state government. I would like to ask the legislative, governor and lt. governor wannabees if they truly support campus carry and will use all their abilities to support it. Not like the fair weather friends of last session.

Also, if you want to proclaim gun ability, don't go to the range and use absolutely crappy handgun technique. It indicates you really don't know what you are doing. Nor does a picture of you in hunting duds, tramping in the field with a duck gun indicate true 2nd. Amend support. Can you say the Zumbo affair? Nor does saying you want city laws to trump state law indicate that you really are pro-firearms. That is a dodge to let the rural folks have their toys and the urban folks to be assured that you really want to control guns. Very transparent.

The last Glock 42 I saw at the Saxet show was going for $525. Academy says 429 when they get them. Cabela's at 449. GT Distributors at 399.

So if you want to wait - these are reference prices for the show.
