Apparently saying "no" is now inhumane.

The guy was a PAYING CUSTOMER, which apparently, is their requirement. If they don't state you must purchase $X, then yes, it's wrong. And stupid.

But I'd never go there anyway. Tried it once and was pretty cardboard tasting so not worth the bother.

I'm wondering what would have happened if it was a little old elderly man who bought coffee and then wanted to use the restroom? Do they decide depending on who it is? Do they have a gate for entry to said restroom..can't see how they could
control this, especially when they are busy.
I was on Commerce on the way to the dental office last month and as I glanced left I saw this Whataburger and I thought wow, what a great idea to put one downtown.

Well you can tell that the guy was homeless, so my thought they are trying to keep them out of their place.

Not if your homeless, most hotels run those people off. I use to work overnights at a couple different hotels, I was suppose to ask them to leave as soon as they walked in the door. But if they did not bother the guests and didnt make a mess, I didnt say anything.

I was downtown Saturday and did notice a handful of homeless people, I think the city is trying hard to get them out of the area because I used to see a lot more than what I saw.

I doubt they would not allow someone to use the restroom, unless it was a prior "offender" who was taking advantage of them. Many customers like to use it before they place their orders.

They'll gladly take his money but they'll refuse to let him take a leak/dump. How compassionate.

If you were in that situation, wouldn't you just pee on the floor?
