Is this a good area, around the La Sierra University?

Thanks for any info.

Yes. Middle-class if that's good enough for you.

Yes, middle-class definitely good.

How is it in terms of crime?

And demographics? I like it when it's a little diverse.

I lived there from 1997-2003 and never was a victim of crime in the area.

Very diverse, but mostly White and Hispanic.

No. I went to high school at La Sierra High and did not encounter gangs in my time there.

Yep, quite the drive across town to get there though. The OP should have no business in that area.

There were gangs where I lived in Corona (Home Gardens ), I was surprised to not find any when I moved to Riverside.

There seems to be a set called La Sierra Riva hanging around La Sierra Park, and NE of La Sierra is the Arlanza 13: S of Arlington, E of Tyler, W of Van Buren and N of Wells.

La Sierra Park, spent many an afternoon playing baseball and basketball there. Those little "bling, bling" ice cream and snowcone men (you know who I'm talking about, I'm sure they come through your neighborhood ) used to pass by to provide cheap refreshment from the hot sun. My brother used to have football practice there too.

There could be gangs there, but circa 10 years ago they weren't a problem for me. One could probably spend tons of time there and never know they were around.

As for Arlanza, I used to have a friend that lived over off Van Buren/Philbin. Yes, it's pretty obvious there's gangs there, but I never had problems there either. The OP should have no business in going to Arlanza anyway.

OP, do you a specific address or cross-streets in mind? The area immediately adjacent to LSU is nice and safe.
