Really?

Where did you live, exactly?

Cause I bought a house in Eagle Ranch a year ago and I haven't experienced anything close the "hell" you describe, in fact quite the opposite as I find it quite serene and love my neighbors - And this is from someone that has lived all over the country and could have chosen anywhere to relocate to after closing my business in NYC...

You make it sound like East LA, Newark, FilthaDelphia, $hitcongo or the Valley!

I've lived in Victorville for 13 years and I've never had much problems here. But saying there's no crime here is a far-cry. Since the bubble burst, people are flooding in from LA and it's suburbs for cheaper housing ... and sad to say most are low income hood rats with bad intentions. Worst crime in VV is focused around 7th Street in Old Town IMO. I'm a regular at a burger joint on 7th street and every time I go, there's an emergency vehicle blaring through each time. It's pretty funny if think about it because I would never walk around there at night .. or day LOL. There's just nothing here. Social life on a scale from 1-10 is a 2.2. VERY BORING HERE

7th and Old Town has always been pretty rough. Even back in the 90's.

The Antelope Valley is quite literally the High Desert of LA County. People move to both areas for essentially the same reasons.
I don't live in the Antelope Valley but if I had to choose between there and Victorville, it would be the Antelope Valley -- hands down!

Victorville just doesn't have much going for it, other than being a place to use the restroom on the way to Vegas from LA.

Lancaster/Palmdale seem to offer a lot more:

- Metrolink access
- closer to LA
- Museums
- festivals
- more art and artsy people
- two really good hometown breweries
- farmers markets
- higher percentage of nice neighborhoods
- cleaner
- easy street grid thats alphabetical and numerical
- more jobs / better paying ones
- in the developing aerospace/tech corridor between LA and Mojave Space Port
- better shopping/dining choices (Palmdale's got a Trader Joes, Yard House, Dillard's, Claim Jumper, IMAX theater etc)

Victorville just doesn't work for me and I only see things getting worse there. As housing prices go back up, the scum from east Lancaster will eventually end up in Victorville/Adelanto with the rest of it that has collected there from all over So Cal.

Antioch Circle off Luna. One mile from Eagle Ranch. Two murders on my old street. If you think that's great, fine. I remember Eagle Ranch in 1991 when homes sold for $330,000. Try getting anything close to that now.

A lot of people from South LA have moved up to Palmdale/Lancaster as well as the SB County high desert in order to own nicer homes for inexpensive prices. The result has been increased crime and vandalism.

Nice try...$330,000 in Eagle Ranch in 1991?

LOL, LIE MUCH?

I know in detail the price history of Eagle Ranch, did the research prior to buying my REO, and have family that bought 3 new homes in Eagle Ranch 1992-1994...

Top-of-line homes on prime locations sold for $140K top and most for $75-90K!

Sure, at the top of the bubble in 2006-2007 there where homes going for that, but people were gaga on prices everywhere in Cali then, and the banks went right along for the ride...

It wasn't until 2003-2004 that ANY homes in Eagle Ranch selling for bubblicious prices like $330,000.

Nope, didn't happen and anyone can go to any number of Real Estate websites and verify this is true - I guess unlike the local/state RE laws wherever your hole is located where they block that infoto the public

Sounds to me like you've got an agenda and all of your info is suspect and most likely bull****...
