I'm going to leave at 3 if it's to make sure that I get to work by 5. I'm working a Black Friday sale at a Walmart store from 5-midnight, so it should be fun.

Must be the lull before the big storm; clear skies to the east with some morning sunrise colors.

Thunderstorms supposedly later this morning - may need to unplug some electronics in the house, just to be safe.

Hope the power doesn't go out!

It's pouring, and there's thunder.

No thunder where I'm at.

But, about an hour ago it was raining so hard my lawn drains couldn't handle to volume of water and got some pools building up.

The rain slackened off and the water was able to drain out.

The thunder didn't last long, and the rain has slacked up for now, anyway.

It's raining at my house near Mission Bay tonite like the heaven's just opened up. It's loud. Back in my Texas days, the locals called the sound of heavy rains "like a cow pissing on a flat rock."

No flooding though. We have good drainage down to Rose Creek and Mission Bay.
