Some of these people speak English. They're not all stupid savages as you seem to think. Even if they don't speak English, there are people willing to teach them. Who ever said they want to impose their religion? That's your fantasy.

Look at Europe and how the refugees/immigrants have already changed the culture there and are trying to impose their religion. In France they have more mosques than churches at this point.

How many English speaking immigrants do you think are coming out of Syria right now?

Who is going to pay people to teach millions of refugees to speak English?

You are denying world events, history and cultural norms so that you sound enlightened in your own mind.

Let me guess, you want to give all the refugees free health care as well?

You just want to look inward and pretend the rest of the world doesn't exist. Our country should be a shining city on a hill, a place people want to come to.

Be the change you want to see in the world and let a homeless person stay with you for the week.

Or you could give money every month to two homeless shelters who know best how to help them.

I wonder how many homeless shelters are supported without funding via tax payers? The answer is very few.

Plus the shelters are already overwhelmed with demand from the current homeless population. How do you think they will be able to absorb refugees, even on a short term basis? Are you saying it is better to remove American citizens from the shelters so that room can be made for refugees?

Where do you come up with these questions?

No, I don't think someone should be kicked out of a homeless shelter to make room for an immigrant. Why do you assume everything is a zero sum game?

It is.
It is the land of handouts where dreaming liberals like you believe people here illegally and don't want to become part of the US have more rights and entitlements than it's citizens.
And since you are so much more enlightened than the rest of us, you really should set the example and pay out of your pocket to support illegal immigrants and share your house with them.
Then we can learn by example from you.

Because sometimes things are a zero sum game. You want to provide something for an illegal immigrant, well that costs more money. If there is no more money, then yes someone else must be displaced or suffer.
Or do you feel people should pony up more tax money to support illegal immigration?

I'm sure they believe other people should pony up more money; not themself.
