Seeing how half the population reacted to the last election, I definitely think there was a collective psychosis or mental illness.

Oh, really? Did you see how segments of the other half of the population reacted to the first Obama election? You missed the "get your guns for Obama's race war" posts on this website, and worse, which I won't quote. Hysteria reigned for 8 years, and alarmingly, it was armed hysteria.

Jared Lee Loughner Was diagnosed by two people as being a paranoid schizophrenic. It was an act by a crazy person unlike the attempt on republican legislators a few months ago by someone with political motivations.

He had right wing political views. Of course you find a reason to try to dismiss this shooting

He was left wing and then about a year before once he went crazy he had right wing views all while being registered as an independent. He was out of his mind, like Jon Hinkley Jr. Langher thought the moon landing was fake and the government was behind 9/11. He was crazy.

While you have James Hodgkinson who's only goal was to kill republican representatives while having no history or signs of mental illness.

The point is that he had political motivations behind the shooting. Stop trying to dismiss this assassination attempt. Anyone who tries to assassinate a political figure is crazy to an extent no matter what, just because James Hogdkinson isn't a schizo doesn't mean he is of sound mind either. He acted like a lunatic before the shooting.

One Interesting thing about the Bay Area is the of a city council member or other city member in that has the power to make decisions if he or she doesn't agree a nanny state ordinance usually pushed by lobbyists of the far left he or she is not likely to stay council member for long and will get replaced by one that will vote yes on it during the candidate selection process. This is what happened in Milpitas a few years ago and a number of other cities. So the sad truth is if you don't think in a certain way you will not be in office long nor will you be treated nicely when you are in there.

Sorry, could you re-write your first sentence? It's hard to follow; looks like it was edited too many times, and something got cut out. I agree that getting less extreme city councils in some cities would be a good thing.
