You must be from Central America.

It was also warmer in Alaska. Does it mean Seattle is colder than Alaska? On May 6 this year, Seattle was the hottest place in the US. Single days don't mean anything.

Just be thankful you don't live in the mid-west where temperatures in the single digits are the norm in the winter.

The Alaskan Interior is to hit into the 70s by this weekend according to the most recent forecast I looked at. This included Fairbanks, North Pole, Delta Junction, Tok, and Fort Yukon. Some days will even be hitting near 80. Impressive for the end of May there, even if it is the norm in July.

ANYWAY yes, Seattle weather is hit and miss especially during this time of year. As others have said, we had a very nice stretch of nice, dry weather into the 70s and 80s, and now spring proper is back. Just wait, mid July through mid September will be just like that stretch we just had, and who knows, it may even be like that again sooner rather than later. We'll see how bad the June Gloom gets this year.

A little while back some of us were joking whether or not bad weather causes amnesia, in that as soon as it arrives people seem to have no recollection of any good weather they experienced. This is more supporting evidence of that. It was very warm and sunny only a short while ago. While fishing for trout on Deer Lake there were kids swimming in the water....in early May.

That may be true, and also, people just love to complain about the weather here. Wait until August when we start getting complaints about how hot it is at 82.

Who peed in your Wheaties this morning? Wow, some people just don't belong up here. An old boss of mine said to not pay attention to **** magnets and I'm thinking this is the same deal. Cheer up and do something already.

Siberia shouldn't get such a bad rap. They get more summer than we do.
It was in the 80's and even up to 90 degrees a few weeks ago- that is warm weather by any location's standards for that time of year, and definitely by Seattle standards. So now we are on the other extreme with a brief cold spell, no big deal! The normal high for this date is 66 degrees- so look at that to see where we'd normally be this time of year and know that this is just an unusual cold snap.

Do you guys realize that in every other city you're allowed to complain when the weather is sh****? And most others will join you in it? Why do you think Seattle reacts so strongly and violently when someone b****** about the weather?
