It's dumb to say the weather sucks or is awesome as a generalization for all people. The fact is that some people like it, some people hate it, and some people tolerate it because we're all different. You can't tell someone to just suck it up and not let the weather bother them because you're likely able to handle it better because of your genetics or because of what activities you enjoy (or the way in which you enjoy them). All you haters need to stop telling people they should hate the weather, and all you likers need to stop telling people to stop whining and focus on the good things about the city.

Get over it, go outside, suck it up (the piddly rain they call rain out here) and have fun somewhere for crying out loud and stop being a **** magnet.
See, now this sounds like you take it pretty personally. Why do you care so much if someone doesn't like the weather?

You said some really nice things about the climate in Seattle. I have a couple of questions and I hope you can help me. My daughter just moved to Port Angeles. When is the best time to visit in regards to getting out and hiking or things like that? Is the temperature in the mid 50's in late Sept/Oct? Are there good views of fall colors?
I appreciate your time.

Very late June through about early to mid September would be the time to go to PA weather wise. Driest time of the year there and the temperatures will be sitting somewhere between about 65 and 75 degrees during the day, with nights in the low to mid 50s, so very comfortable. October is usually when daytime highs start struggling to hit 60 degrees and the rain and clouds start moving back in for the winter.

I'm looking forward to returning to my new home. I've often said that if Seattle were a city in Europe (north of the Alps), it would just be another city. I'm being reminded of that now. In the past ~4 weeks I've maybe seen 4 good days. Rain, rain, rain. Not a drizzle, but rain. Rivers are flooding. You can't even count on good summers over here.

Sounds like Switzerland or Austria. Seattle weather feels like tropical compared to that part of Europe.
