Degrees of preparation vary with availability of wealth resources. Fear sells: $25,000.00 to reserve a spot in this bunker reported to be built soon somewhere under the Nebraska plains.

If I had the money I'd get one built just for the hell of it! It would be a lot of fun.

On another thread, a poster stated that she "wasn't interested in surviving" certain catastrophic scenarios. I guess we all have a different point in which that would be true for each of us. There are certainly certain things that I really would have no interest in surviving the event or the aftermath of the event. Basically, my tipping point would be a situation where our planet was made to be largely uninhabitable. Perhaps large scale nuclear war, maybe certain types of chemical warfare, and a few other things I can think of--more or less a situation where I could no longer walk "god's creation" (or "probability's creation," depending on your philosophy).

So, a scenario where I'm confined to a hardened bunker for a very long time would, to me, not be worth living. My "soul" would be dead in such a situation, so my body may as well be, too. I don't expect many on this forum to understand that mindset. Many of you, I know, are survive-at-all-costs types. I, on the other hand, do have my limits. Below that threshold, I'm certainly willing to scratch my way through many things (or at least give it a shot), but I'm not sure I could in the sort of world that would condemn me to this type of bunker for the rest of my life. Guess I'll have to do some more thinking about where my limits are.

A person could build their own for less money than $25,000. Start with a cellar and dig down deeper and make it stronger, give enough earth or concrete over the top for protection, etc.

Yes, just saw the article and thought it was interesting as it is basically a mini underground town. It is a bunker of the size and comfort I was not aware being build for the private sector (as opposed to military and US gov. officials). However, I see that type of bunker being built not for nuclear war but for a mass extinction style event of the kind only nature and space can initiate. In that case there would be very little warning and only those already in position would survive.

The one thing I wonder on the $25K Vivos bunkers is has anyone actually seen a completed facility?
Or is this all computer graphics (smoke and mirrors)?
Somehow I keep thinking that next year we will hear that all these people paid in for their space and got a map to a hole in the ground.

Great post.

It is great to be prepared for some type of emergency. I also think some people on here think they will be living in some "Mad Max" type world.

And eventually we all need doctors and medicine. So how long are you going to go on for without them?

Some things would not be worth surviving.
