“I am going to declare South Carolina the national champion of the bowl season,” he said, noting the Gamecocks beat six teams this season that won their bowl game, including two that won BCS bowl games.
lol, he's bragging about beating UNC, Vanderbilt, and Missouri without their stud QB, barely, in overtime
who is the other one, outside of Clemson and UCF? lol, oh Miss State beat ....wait for it....Rice. lol He had Miss State, Vanderbilt, and UNC at home and would beeen horrible upsets if they ahd lost to them. lol
USC was the only top team this year to lose to a team as bad as Tenn, a Tenn team that Oregon bet by like 50 plus. lol If Spurrier was Clemson's coach and lost to a Tenn type team, lot of fans would want to dump him. lol You guys could have been in the title game if you hadln't lost that one.

You laugh at Rice. Rice is ordering Conference Championship rings right now for C-USA.
You are wrong that USC is the only top program that lost to a mediocre team. Oregon lost to a very mediocre Utah team. Michigan St lost to Notre Dame, who was saw is a very overrated bunch. Stanford lost to Utah also.
You're obsessed with that Tennessee game. But, if you line up Clemson and Tennessee's program history the past 20 years, UT is a FAR better program than Clemson, and its not even close.
Clemson may have finished 3rd or 4th in the SEC East, at best. Clemson would've finished maybe 3rd or 4th in the SEC West, at best. Clemson would be MAYBE the 6th best team in the SEC, behind Auburn, Bama, Missouri, South Carolina, Texas A&M.....depending on if you guys could upset LSU or UGA again.
Hey Francis, the NFL draft position rankings are out.
Boyd is only 3 spots ahead of underrated Shaw haha!! Boyd is 10th, Shaw 13th. Shaw was probably the 5th or 6th best NFL caliber prospect on his own offense behind Mike Davis, Ellington, Brandon Shell, Shaq Roland. Boyd, after Watkins, was the 2nd best prospect on Clemson's offense. And yet, Shaw and Boyd are rated almost identical by NFL scouts haha.

Stanford lost to Utah. Oregon lost to Arizona who was a pretty good team.
CLemson beat Tenn in 2004 Peach Bowl. Beat them bad, actually. They were complaining about not getting a better bowl game too. I don't think Tenn has been better than Clemson last 20 years given they have sucked for about 10 years now. They did win a title and they had Peyton Manning a few years before that.
Clemson has a better defense than Missouri and I think better overall on offense. Missouri won the east. I think Clemson would score on all day on those SEC team defenses you just listed.

lol, well any NFL team that takes Shaw is dumb as hell. He isn't NFL talented.
Boyd is probably a long shot at NFL too but probably could do ok as a backup.

Good post. Shaw is a good QB, hope he does well in the NFL, he deserves it.
Also love to see writers making fun of Dabo's weak shot at Carolina (why does Clemson let him talk?) Appears that folks like Sapakoff realize that Carolina also beat a Big 10 power, beat 2 teams that won a "BCS" game, and beat 6 teams that won a bowl. Of course, being in the BCS does not mean you are the best, ask Oregon, Missouri and other top teams. It was fun to watch this team mature, the team that soundly beat Chapel Hill improved tremendously throughout the season.
it's a weak class if Shaw is truly the 13th best player available. lol
