Default Wow!!

Wow MAXX, all your pictures are just gorgeous. I especially liked the shot you took of Mt. Rushmore!! I also got a kick out of the sign at Dogster's - too funny. Really great job !!

Dogster's is somewhat of an institution in Rapid City. It's rarely open but the food is fantastic. I've met the owner and he also has a karaoke business. Kind of a double threat guy!

Some sunset pics from New Underwood I took a couple of weeks ago. The prairie east of Rapid City really does get spectacular sunsets, especially with the Black Hills in the background.

Now all I need is to put a house hidden back there in the background and that's paradise & privacy.

Default Vacation is SD

We just vacationed in Sioux Falls & Madison last week. Everybody thought we were crazy for vacationing in SD in January! LOL I love it there. The people are genuinely nice and helpful--very different than what we're used to here. I want to relocate there after I retire in 6 years.

And I've never seen whiteouts like I did in SD! LOL

Default The span that Jesse James jumped.

Found this old picture of the 15' gap that Jesse James jumped at Palasades National Park, North of Garretson, SD. I have fished in that water several times right at that spot. It is quite deep but not too wide and holds some Northern Pike up to 5 pounds +. Man do they put up a fight. They now have a pedestrian bridge over the gap.
