I'm from Phoenix and we are now at 51% Hispanic. We are thinking of moving to the Nixa/Springfield area in about 3 years. Do you know if they have a lot of Hispanics in that area??

Good question. I know this topic was VERY heated in the NC/SC forum. A few were banned. With that said. There are "Hispanics" from USA and "Mexicans" from Mexico. Which are you talking about?

I haven't seen many, though there were illegal aliens who were busted by the INS when I was living in the Extended Stay America around December of last year. If you know any Mexican-American restauranteurs Pam who can cook authentic Mexican food and want to open an inexpensive and authentic Mexican restaurant here...please encourage them . We have one good restaurant Acambaro, but there's an old establishment here the locals love (barf) called Mexican Villa which has the most nasty and foul tasting "Mexican" food I've ever had. Even their chips suck. It's more like hamburger helper with hot sauce and the staff in the kitchen is all white. We need some GOOD Mexican food here... I miss it

Just wanted to know if the springfield area had a problem with illegal mexicans. Like I said, Phoenix is now at 51% hispanic. We are looking to move in the next couple of years, and don't want to move ANYWHERE that is over populated with illegal aliens.
We have the BEST mexican places to eat, but I'll give it up.... for a place to live where I don't need to know spanish when ordering off the menu.

Confused, so the 51% Hispanic is ok or no? Are you not wanting legal or illegal Mexicans in your area?

For stats, Springfield has 2% Hispanic. No way to show that the illegals are unless a local says what he/she feels they are. Hope this helps.

Like I said Spring field has 2% Hispanic. You made the comment about AZ having 51% thought you didn't want that neither is why you referenced it. Maybe one of the locals will chime in or time to hit the local papers. With that super highway coming through, MO might not be a state you want. The boarder check point is in Kansas City, MO. It will be like living in TX or AZ by the boarder. Maybe MT, SD or something?
