Your going to find that somethings come from frozen no matter where you go...it's an economic thing for most restaurants (and for most home cooks). Keeping fresh items doesn't make sense for most restaurants. But it's how they prepare it that matters.

Where you from in Las Vegas. Used to live near Floyd Lamb state park myself...off of Brent and Homestead.
When you make it with chicken breast, it's called "Chicken fried chicken"; not steak.

There's plenty of that around the Ozarks, chicken plant capitol and all.

I loved the Black Kettle too! The first time I went there I ordered a WHOLE slab of ribs for myself. Big, big mistake. LOL

What I miss is a good old-fashioned bar. You can't hardly find them any more.

We used to go to the Twilight Inn on Chestnut Expy near St. Louis and National (I think!). How about the Pink Tunnel on Jefferson back when you could drive through the square? They used to have lunch specials for about $1.25 in 1971-72.
