Moon Lake is no worse than living anywhere in this country, crime, drugs, etc happens everywhere. Waters Edge is a nice community but as with all others places home prices have fallen not because it is "Moon Lake Area". yes I know how "TERRIFYING" it is to live on the east side of Moon Lake Rd, been here 26years and still wake up every morning to a beautiful view and peaceful sounds of nature.

Looks like I will need to de-moss all my cypress trees soon, criminals could be hiding there!!!

This area has cleaned up quite a bit since the Klan and Witch era. The northeast section is still a little rough though, but just avoid it and it will avoid you..just sayin'

There are still a few moonshiners left in the northwest part. Most of Holiday is all drugs now also.

You could also try things in your community like a neighborhood watch, it is easy to complain, it is another to make a difference

Ryland came in and put in a beautiful development.to me that is a a start in the right direction, also I have never seen the pool crowded, I think the development is so quiet. Like I said I don't live there full timebut when I am there I love it.
