I too am pleased to see that a lot of people are here for valid lifestyle choices and not a jail sentence in life.

Keep on keeping on Tampa Bay!

Though ive only been living here for roughly two weeks, ive mentioned a number of times before on what i really enjoyed when i would visit to check things out, when i was considering the move..

For one, The weather..It was nice to be able to go to the beach in the middle of November and be able to stick my toes in nice warm water..Plus, i got to see some Sting rays swim practically at my feet.. Never see that back home..

The fact that there is alot do do..even if it takes some time to get aquainted with everything..it is already a great place to come to..looking forward to get to know it..

Make sure you get a chance to at least see the Manatees. The Gulf is getting colder and they will be on their way in. Some choice sites are at Homosassa Springs State park up in, yep, Homosassa Springs. Just down river of the springs are rental places where you can rent a poontoon boat for the day and cruise up to the mouth of the springs and swim with Manatees on your own. There are also some charter companies that will take you out to see/swim with Manatees too. Just about 30 miles north of Spring Hill. Even the Weeki Wachee has a good amount of Manatees as does Jenkins Creek. Jenkins Creek is also a good place for pier fishing and crabbing (blue claw). It's also a boat launch for your canoe, on up. Just avoid the floating bodies. :-))
