Drunk ass hick thinks he's from Texas when he wasn't even born here. Well the secret is out Jerry Jones was born & raised in California "ya'll".

I don't think he was raised in California as he's definitely southern. I believe he was raised in Arkansas. Wherever, he's a jerk.

Preseason is just to knock some rust off (the first series or two for the first string) and to see who will make the team or get moved up to 1st or 2nd string. Its for evaluation (first and foremost). If anyone seeks to make more these games than that . . . then they really don't have anything.
The diference is Dallas' first team offense has looked horrible. It's not about winning and losing in the preseason. It's seeing if your first team is playing well, and the Cowboys have not. Hell, their only first team touchdown was on a 15-yard drive.

When you get down to it, the Cowboys are the team that everyone loves to hate or loves. Not too many football fans are middle of the road about the Cowboys. They are like the Lakers and Yankees respectively in that way. You either love them or hate them. Not too much in between.

[quote=catman] I am so tired of the owner's star turn in the Mr John's Pizza commercials, "the official pizza of the Dallas Cowboys". How silly is that, and doesn't Mr Jones have enough money already?

It's a shame someone doesn't tell him how completely inane he looks and sounds when doing these hokey commercials. The Wing Stop commercial with Troy Aikman is just as bad. Totally sickening. I don't know the viewing area on these commercials, but if you are out of range of them, thank your lucky stars!

Add to that the stupid commercials with Troy Aikman and fakewrestler Hulk Hogan (?)...I think they're for some furniture rental company.

They all make me gag.

LOL! All the haters! Especially the ones that think they know the 'boys (and their seasonal fortunes) based upon on how the first string starters played in the preseason! Sit back and watch how they play once the season starts, then remember what you all were thinking. It will be a reality check to let you know how much you don't know - and yet proclaim with confidence - the talent of this team.

It'll be a reality check? Okay.... Look, even though it's the preseason, your first team should still be able to execute. The Cowboys look lost. There is a reason why Romo was so pissed at halftime against the Texans. They came into that game trying to prove the doubter from the previous game wrong, but failed. They'll probably play better during the regular season, but the first team play so far is cause for some concern (and there is in the Dallas media).

The starters haven't looked great so far but most of that is due to the offensive line not protecting Romo adequately. If the O-line improves, and I think they will, they will be a force to reckon with because they have a lot of talent on this team.

Well, Dallas barely squeaked by with their 2 point win over Miami.

Not that it counts right?
